Bring your own AI assistant, through the Model Context Protocol.

HalftimeOS runs an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — the same open standard Claude uses to connect to outside tools and data. Point Claude Code at your HalftimeOS organization using a personal access token, and you can work with your real operating data from inside a normal Claude conversation, without opening the app.

How to connect Claude to HalftimeOS

In HalftimeOS, go to Settings → Integrations → API Access and create a personal access token — copy it, it's shown once.
Add HalftimeOS as a remote MCP server pointed at https://halftimeos.com/api/mcp, sending that token as an Authorization: Bearer header — see below for exactly how, since Claude Desktop and Claude Code currently differ here.
Start asking — Claude can now read your scorecard, Rocks, OKRs, and issues, and make the same low-risk updates described above.

Claude Desktop / claude.ai

Custom connectors there currently only expose OAuth fields for a personal account — there's no field yet for a static bearer token like ours. Until that lands, Claude Code is the fully-supported path; we'll update this the moment Anthropic opens that up for individual accounts.

A token acts with your own permissions — treat it like a password, and revoke it any time from Settings.

The first release of the HalftimeOS MCP server is deliberately conservative: enough for a real assistant to be useful in the flow of a normal week, without giving an AI agent the keys to silently restructure your company.

Does HalftimeOS have an AI Coach?

Yes. The AI Coach is built into HalftimeOS on every plan, including the free Practice Squad tier. It reads your organization's real scoreboard, Rocks, OKRs, issues, and to-dos, and gives specific, direct coaching grounded in that live data — not a generic chatbot bolted onto the side.

Can I use Claude with HalftimeOS?

Yes. HalftimeOS runs an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so Claude Code and any other MCP client that supports a bearer-token header can connect directly to your organization's data using a personal access token you create in Settings. Claude Desktop's custom connectors currently only support OAuth for personal accounts, not a static token, so that path isn't available there yet — Claude Code is the fully-supported option today.

What is MCP and why does it matter for an EOS/OKR tool?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude connect to external tools and data sources through a common protocol, instead of every app needing its own custom integration. HalftimeOS exposes its scorecard, Rocks, OKRs, issues, and to-dos as MCP tools, so an AI assistant can read and update your real operating data as part of a normal conversation.

What can I actually do with the HalftimeOS MCP integration?

Is my data safe if I connect an AI assistant to HalftimeOS?

The integration only does what your account can already do, through a personal access token you create and can revoke at any time from Settings. The first release deliberately limits what an AI assistant can do: it can read your data and make a small set of low-risk updates (log a metric, create or update a to-do, add or resolve an issue), but it cannot delete anything, invite people, or change your organization's structure.

Do I need a paid plan to use the AI Coach or the Claude integration?

No. Both are available on every plan, including the free Practice Squad tier for a single leader.
